More than 10,500 runners of 80 different nationalities will set off from Chamonix to cover the trails of the Valley.
The Mont-Blanc Marathon races are organized by the Chamonix Sports Club Association. Under the name of Marathon du Mont-Blanc, 8 races are organized: 90 km du Mont-Blanc, 42 km du Mont-Blanc, 23 km du Mont-Blanc, KM Vertical du Mont-Blanc, Starry Duet, Young Race Marathon, 10 km du Mont-Blanc Blanc and Mini cross du Mont-Blanc (800m to 3 km reserved for children according to age category).
For 4 days from June 27 to 30, 2024, the Chamonix valley will vibrate to the rhythm of the races, 40,000 people will be present in Chamonix to attend or participate in this event, and everything is done to welcome the racers, and spectators in the best conditions. The event has grown considerably in the space of a few years, but it is organized on a non-profit basis by volunteers and local authorities.
With races taking place in the mountains in a sometimes difficult environment (notably the 90 km of Mont-Blanc), runners need to be aware of this particularity and prepare themselves properly. Every runner can find a race to suit his or her level of experience, allowing them to discover the unique environment of the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley.
